In an era where music is often rushed and formulaic, Johnson Hill Made Vol. 1 arrives as a heartfelt and intentional body of work—crafted by two lifelong friends who’ve turned shared memories into sonic gold. Anthony Llewellyn and producer NPH’Elihm unite their talents to create a project rooted in authenticity, musical legacy, and regional pride.

From Neighborhood Roots to Global Intentions

Long before they collaborated in studios, Anthony and NPH’Elihm were navigating life together in Florida and South Carolina—places that not only shaped their identities but deeply influenced their creative instincts. Now, those formative years come full circle with this 7-track EP, a love letter to their community and a celebration of their Southern upbringing.

More Than Music: A Spiritual and Cultural Journey

While Anthony’s previous release Just A Man on the Mic spotlighted his lyrical storytelling, Johnson Hill Made Vol. 1takes a more immersive, soul-infused approach. This new project draws heavily from gospel, funk, and Southern R&B traditions, offering a warmer, more introspective sound. There’s a spiritual thread that weaves through each track—one that honors the sacred, the feminine, and the soulful essence of Southern Black culture.

A Diverse Cast, A Shared Vision

In keeping with their belief in collaboration and cultural exchange, the duo brought on a range of rising talents to contribute. Orlando’s emerging artist Sapp Daddy and India’s vibrant 2Fistd help stretch the EP’s sound beyond borders. Their presence introduces international energy while staying aligned with the project’s emotional depth and authenticity.

Inspired, Not Imitated

Rather than mimic their influences, the artists use them as launchpads for something distinct. Echoes of OutKast’s genre-bending approach, Prince’s emotional intensity, and Raphael Saadiq’s soulful finesse are felt throughout—but Anthony and NPH’Elihm remain grounded in their own narrative. The result is a work that’s familiar yet original, nostalgic yet fresh.

Built to Last, Not Just to Trend

In a musical landscape driven by algorithms and short-lived hits, Johnson Hill Made Vol. 1 chooses endurance over urgency. Each track was carefully constructed, with the duo emphasizing cohesion and depth over volume. Their goal is simple but powerful: to make music that resonates emotionally and spiritually—something listeners can return to time and time again.

Johnson Hill: A Place and a Promise

The project’s title isn’t just symbolic—it’s geographical. Johnson Hill is where it all began. More than just a backdrop, it’s the emotional center of the record. For Anthony and NPH’Elihm, Johnson Hill represents family, resilience, and a cultural lineage that they’re proud to uplift through their music.

And with “Vol. 1” clearly stamped in the name, the message is clear: this is just the beginning. More collaborations are on the horizon, grounded in the same integrity and intentionality that define this debut.

Conclusion: Real Stories. Real Soul. Real South.

Johnson Hill Made Vol. 1 is not just an EP—it’s an artistic statement and a deeply personal journey. Through it, Anthony Llewellyn and NPH’Elihm remind us of the power of memory, place, and brotherhood. In blending regional soul with modern flair, they’ve created a collection that honors the past, embraces the present, and dares to imagine a future led by authenticity.
