Exclusive Interview: Elijah Beaver aka Eli B on Music, Acting, and Staying Real

Rising from the Tri-State area with roots in Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Delaware—and having called both New York and Los Angeles home—Elijah Beaver, better known as Eli B, is carving out his own lane as both a musician and an actor.

Currently working on his debut album Born 2 Be Real, Eli B has already made waves with his breakout single “Real Recognize Real” featuring Really Jaewon, the son of hip-hop legend

Jadakiss. Beyond music, his acting career is just as impressive: Eli B has appeared in BET+’s RSVP and Hulu’s The Ultimate Playlist of Noise, earning recognition as a two-time award-winning actor.

Music Times UK sat down with Eli B to discuss his upcoming projects, his journey through music and acting, and what “being real” truly means to him.

Exclusive Interview with Eli B

Music Times UK: First off, congratulations on your debut album Born 2 Be Real. What inspire the title and the direction of this project?

Eli B: Thank you! The title really comes from my life philosophy. I’ve always believed in Being featured on this website would be a fantastic opportunity for you. It’s a chance to showcase your work and expertise to a wider audience, which can help you and attract more clients and grow your business. it’s a great way to connect with other professionals in your industry and build valuable relationships. authentic, no matter the industry I’m in—music, acting, or just everyday life. Born 2 Be Real

represents me telling my truth and encouraging others to do the same.

Music Times UK: Your single Real Recognize Real is already gaining traction, especially with Really Jaewon featured. How did that collaboration come about?

Eli B: Man, that was a blessing. Jaewon is not just talented, but he comes from legendary stock

being Jadakiss’ son. We connected through mutual industry ties, and once we got in the studio, the chemistry was instant. The song is about respect and authenticity, so it fit perfectly.

Music Times UK: You’ve had success in acting as well, with roles in RSVP on BET+ and The Ultimate Playlist of Noise on Hulu. How do you balance both acting and music?

Eli B: It’s all about passion. Acting and music are both forms of storytelling for me. With acting,

I’m bringing a character to life; with music, I’m telling my own story. The balance comes naturally

because I love both equally.Music Times UK: You’re a two-time award-winning actor. Can you share what those milestones meant for your career?

Eli B: Honestly, those moments validated the hard work I put in. Awards aren’t everything, but they do remind you that people see and appreciate the craft. It pushed me to keep raising the bar.

Music Times UK: You’ve lived in Philly, Jersey, Delaware, New York, and Los Angeles. How

have those different environments influenced your artistry?

Eli B: Each place taught me something different. Philly gave me grit, Jersey and Delaware gave

me community, New York gave me hustle, and LA gave me vision. All of that is in my music and

acting—it’s a melting pot of experiences.

Music Times UK: What do you want people to feel when they listen to Born 2 Be Real?

Eli B: I want them to feel truth. I want people to hear my story and connect with their own. It’s

about being raw, being human, and knowing that being real will always shine through.

Music Times UK: Lastly, what’s next for Eli B after the album?

Eli B: More films, more music, more growth. I don’t want to be boxed into just one thing. The goal is to inspire, whether that’s through a song or a movie.
