Exclusive Interview with Music Times UK

From the concrete heartbeat of the Bronx to the suburban grind of Westchester County, JoeyEaz embodies the spirit of New York’s ever-evolving sound. With Dominican roots and a city-bred resilience, his journey began in the hallways of 141 Riverdale Academy, where middle

school talent shows sparked a fire that would later blaze across boroughs. By his high school years at George Washington on 191st and Audubon in Manhattan, the name JoeyEaz was

already buzzing through cyphers, block parties, and open mics.

Now, he’s redefining versatility. Hip-Hop, Pop, Reggaeton, Techno, Rap — JoeyEaz moves seamlessly between genres, proving that his artistry refuses to be boxed in. From basement sets in Brooklyn to festival stages in Queens, and from the Bronx to Westchester’s underground scene, his presence is undeniable.

Music Times UK sat down with JoeyEaz to talk about his journey, his creative process, and why he’s ready to leave an indelible mark on the culture.

—

Music Times UK: JoeyEaz, your journey started young. Take us back — when did you first

realize music was your calling?

JoeyEaz: Honestly, it started back in middle school at 141 Riverdale Academy. We had these talent shows, and I remember the rush of being on stage for the first time. That’s where I caught

the bug. By high school at George Washington, it was serious. My name was already moving

through cyphers around Manhattan and the Bronx. I knew then this wasn’t just a hobby — it was my life.

Music Times UK: New York is such a competitive place musically. How did the city shape your

sound?

JoeyEaz: New York teaches you that every block has a story. Growing up here, you hear so many different voices and styles. I soaked it all up. I learned to write from scratch, build hooks

that stick, and create bridges that bring people together. That’s why my sound shifts — Hip-Hop, Pop, Reggaeton, Techno, straight Rap — it’s all me. NYC made me versatile.

Music Times UK: You’ve been called a lyrical genius by fans. How do you approach writing your

music?JoeyEaz: I don’t force it. I just let the beat tell me where to go. Sometimes it’s sharp bars, other

times it’s melodies that people can’t stop humming. My whole thing is making connections. If my

line makes you feel like I’m talking directly to you, then I’ve done my job.

Music Times UK: You’ve gone from open mics to bigger stages. What’s been your most memorable performance so far?

JoeyEaz: That’s tough, because every stage is different. Brooklyn basements taught me to earn

respect bar for bar. Festivals in Queens showed me how powerful energy can be when thousands of people move with you. But honestly, the best shows are when people come up after and say,

“Yo, you really spoke to me.

” That’s the memory I keep.

Music Times UK: Your social media presence is growing fast. How important is that for your movement?

JoeyEaz: Social media keeps the fire burning. I can drop a freestyle or a snippet, and instantly, my fans are in the comments, sharing it, pushing it. It’s like the streets but digital. It keeps momentum alive between shows and releases.

Music Times UK: Where do you see yourself heading next?

JoeyEaz: I’m not just trying to come up — I’m coming for the crown. Every beat, every bar,

every borough, I’m writing a chapter this game won’t forget. It’s bigger than songs. It’s about

building a legacy.

—

JoeyEaz is more than an artist. He’s a voice for the blocks, the boroughs, and the bridges

between genres. With every drop, he’s proving that the next king of New York’s sound might just

be the kid who started out rocking middle school talent shows — and never looked back.
