“Smorshee’s ‘Keep Falling’ – A Soulful Electronic Ode”

Cascading summer synths and soulful but listed reflections on the modern world – Keep Falling is a mysterious lyrical venture elevated by a nostalgic dance production of striking highs and contemplative lows.

An hypnotic and celebratory listen, Keep Falling offers complex lyrical fragments that strangely connect across a mysterious electronic arena of fullness.

Smorshee is the stage name for Gabrielle Lindau, a creative producer with a background playing classical music by way of a number of different instruments. Smorshee is the culmination of a lifetime of appreciation for electronic dance music and drum and bass, with music often noting a classic melodic build up, a catchy hook, and a euphoric to tropical downpour of colourful synths.

Keep Falling is all of this, an uplifting crescendo of moments, built around a simple and catchy melody, and it leads with a clear sense of both floor-filler appeal and emotional connection that’s beautifully engaging.

An emotive earworm at its core but also impressively poetic, Keep Falling feels like a modern dance or EDM track with a twist of something a little more thoughtful and intentional to its lyrical base.

The song promises an immersive and rather timeless groove, built around aspects known to impact audiences far and wide, but there’s also plenty to appreciate in the nuances and intricacies, the individual layers and precision of the mix.

Gabrielle Lindau evidently brings a world of experience and ability to production, and though the vocals are programmed, the sound is no less intoxicating when listened to at volume.

Smorshee is currently working on an EP of original tracks, the sort that lean more notably towards her drum and bass influences, but Keep Falling effectively acts as a globally inclusive example of the talent, passion, and personality the artist intends to bring to the everlasting realm of electronic dance music.
