Born in 1964 in Ypsilanti, Michigan, our artist grew up in a world shaped by humble beginnings. Raised by a single mother in a low-income trailer park, his early life was filled with constant moving and making new friends. As a “punk kid,” the ever- changing environment didn’t stop him from finding joy in music. It was a pivotal moment in 7th grade that set the course for his future. After starting school over, a classmateintroduced him to the world of guitar, sparking an obsession that would define his life.

The Guitar That Changed Everything

“I remember my classmate showing me a strat copy guitar with his name written on the fretboard in maybe fingernail polish—it was glorious,” he recalls. That moment marked the beginning of his musical journey. With a borrowed acoustic guitar missing a few strings, he and his new friend formed their first band. From that point on, he was hooked, driven by a raw passion for creating music that’s shaped his path ever since.

A Musician Without Boundaries

Over the years, our artist has defied conventional norms, focusing not on fame or money but on the love of music itself. “I have recorded over 100 songs and toured nationally in my twenties,” he reflects. However, it’s not just about the numbers for him. “I have probably not accomplished all that I could, but I have had a great time and made great friends along the way.” His focus on making music without the pressure of a specific outcome has allowed him to explore a wide variety of genres. “Why limit myself when there’s so much cool stu and cool people to play with?”
