In a candid and emotional conversation, Tony DeYoung opens up about his past struggles and addresses his critics, including his aunt Lorraine and DJ Silk.
_Music Times UK: Tony, thanks for taking the time to speak with us today. Can you tell us a bit about what’s been going on with your aunt Lorraine and why you feel like you need to confront her?_
Tony DeYoung: Yeah, sure. So, my aunt Lorraine has been judging me for losing my kids because I was poor and struggling with addiction. But the thing is, she lost her own son Nicholas for the same exact reasons. I feel like I need to confront her about this because millions of people are watching me on Oprah Winfrey Network, and I need to address this and clear my name.
_Music Times UK: That must be really tough to deal with. Can you tell us a bit more about how you’re feeling about this situation?_
Tony DeYoung: Yeah, it’s been really tough. I feel like I’ve been judged and criticized unfairly, and I need to stand up for myself and tell my side of the story.
_Music Times UK: You also want to address DJ Silk’s comments about your music not being relatable. Can you tell us a bit more about that?_
Tony DeYoung: Yeah, sure. So, DJ Silk said that my music wasn’t relatable and that I would never make it in the music industry. But the thing is, I’m shattering Nielsen Ratings on Oprah Winfrey Network right now, permanently. I have over 5 million followers in Facebook groups and over 150k organic followers across Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. I think that says a lot about how relatable my music is.
_Music Times UK: Finally, what’s next for Tony DeYoung and Tony DeYoung Entertainment? What can fans expect from you in the coming months?_
