Music Times UK sat down with one of the most talked-about rising stars in the game—GlokkSavage. From dominating trending charts to signing a powerhouse deal with Roc
Nation Distribution, his story isn’t just about music; it’s about resilience, responsibility, and redefining what success looks like for the next generation.
For two weeks straight, GlokkSavage held the #1 spot on Billboard Hip Hop’s trending chart, a feat that put his name in conversations alongside the heavy hitters of the culture. Add to that a
recent nod from HipHopSince1987 as “The Top Rapper to Watch in 2025” and you’ve got an artist whose rise isn’t hype—it’s history in the making.
But the journey didn’t start in boardrooms or studios. It started in the trenches, in neighborhoods where making it out is often harder than making it big. GlokkSavage knows that struggle
firsthand, and now, with a rapidly growing fan base and over 50,000 organic views on his latest visuals, he’s proving that authenticity still matters in a world obsessed with clout.
We caught up with the man himself to talk chart success, business moves, and why giving back to his community is just as important as any plaque on the wall.

Music Times UK Exclusive Interview
Music Times UK (MT): First off, congratulations on dominating Billboard Hip Hop’s trending chart for two weeks straight. How did it feel seeing your name at the very top?
GlokkSavage (GS): Honestly, it was one of those moments you dream about. I kept refreshing the page just to make sure it was real. Coming from where I come from, that’s not something
you expect to see—your name trending at #1. It made every late night, every sacrifice feel worth it. But it also lit a fire in me to go even harder.
MT: HipHopSince1987 named you the top rapper to watch in 2025. That’s a huge statement. Do you feel pressure to live up to that, or does it push you forward?
GS: For me, it’s motivation. I know people are watching now, and that just means I’ve got to
prove them right. HipHopSince1987 has been part of breaking a lot of major artists, so to have their co-sign tells me I’m on the right path. It’s not pressure—it’s purpose.
MT: Signing with Roc Nation Distribution is a big milestone. How did that partnership happen, and what does it mean for your career?GS: It all came from consistency. We built everything from the ground up, independently, and
the numbers started speaking for themselves. Roc Nation saw the vision, and we saw a chance to scale what we were already doing. For me, this isn’t about just signing a deal—it’s about global reach, creating longevity, and building a real legacy.
MT: Your videos “All Alone” and “How I Feel” crossed over 50,000 organic views. In an era of bots and fake numbers, how much does that mean to you?
GS: It means everything. Anybody can buy fake views, but when I look at those numbers and
know they came from real people connecting with my music, it hits different. It means the story, the pain, the passion—it’s all resonating. That’s priceless.
MT: A lot of fans credit your manager, Lavelle Holley, and Tony DeYoung Entertainment for shaping your career. How important has their guidance been?
GS: Man, Lavelle has been a real blessing. He’s teaching me how to move smart, not just
fast—understanding the business, branding, strategy. Tony DeYoung Entertainment has helped me stay focused on the big picture. They’re not just building an artist; they’re helping me become a businessman and a leader.
MT: One thing that stands out is how passionate you are about giving back. Why is that so important to you?
GS: Because I was that kid once—the one who thought the streets were the only option. I know how easy it is to get caught up in that life when you don’t see another way out. Music saved me, and now I want to show other kids there’s another way—whether it’s music, sports, boxing,
whatever. If I can stop even one kid from throwing their life away, I’ve done my job.
MT: What would you say to a young person who feels like the streets are their only chance?
GS: I’d tell them the truth: the streets don’t love you. It might look like the only way, but it always ends the same—jail or worse. Take that same hustle, that same energy, and put it into something positive. Find your passion and lock in. There’s always another way—you just gotta
believe in yourself and stay disciplined.
MT: 2025 is already shaping up to be big for you. What can fans expect next?
GS: 2025 is takeover season. I’ve got more music, more visuals, and my first major project dropping under Roc Nation Distribution. I’m looking at global collaborations and pushing my
sound beyond borders. But at the same time, I’ll never forget where I came from. Everything I
do is for my people and my city.
