In an exclusive interview with Music Times UK, Tony DeYoung, the talented rapper and entrepreneur, opens up about his recent feature on HipHopSince1987 and what it means for his career.
Music Times UK: Tony, congratulations on being featured on the Exclusives section of HipHopSince1987 for 3 days straight, and being on the top of the news feed for over a month straight! Can you tell us more about this achievement and what it means for your career?
Tony DeYoung: Thank you! Being featured on HipHopSince1987 is a huge deal for me. The site is one of the most respected and popular hip-hop news websites out there, with over 2.5 million monthly visitors and over 1.5 million followers on social media.
Music Times UK: That’s impressive. Can you tell us more about the site’s audience and demographics?
Tony DeYoung: Absolutely. HipHopSince1987’s audience is highly engaged, with an average session duration of over 2 minutes and an average bounce rate of less than 30%. The site’s audience is also predominantly male, with 70% of visitors being male and 30% being female. In terms of age, 60% of visitors are between the ages of 18-34, and 40% are between the ages of 35-54.
Music Times UK: That’s fascinating. Now, when it comes to advertising on HipHopSince1987, the costs can vary depending on the type of ad, the ad placement, and the duration of the campaign. Can you tell us more about the costs involved?
Tony DeYoung: Yes, of course. A sponsored post on HipHopSince1987’s social media channels can cost anywhere from $500 to $2,000 per post, depending on the reach and engagement. A banner ad on the site’s homepage can cost anywhere from $1,000 to $5,000 per month, depending on the ad size and placement. And a featured article or interview on the site’s Exclusives section can cost anywhere from $2,000 to $10,000 per article, depending on the length and depth of the content.
Music Times UK: Wow, those are some impressive numbers. How does it feel to have achieved this level of exposure without incurring these costs?
Tony DeYoung: It’s an incredible feeling, to be honest. As an independent artist, it’s not always easy to get your music and message out there. But through my hard work and dedication to my craft, I’ve been able to secure this feature and reach a vast audience without breaking the bank.
Music Times UK: Last but not least, what’s next for Tony DeYoung? Can fans expect new music, collaborations, or other projects in the works?
Tony DeYoung: I’ve got a lot of exciting projects in the pipeline! I’m working on new music, collaborating with other talented artists, and exploring new opportunities. Stay tuned for updates, and thank you to Music Times UK for having me!
