In an exclusive statement to Music Times UK, Tony DeYoung, the talented rapper and entrepreneur, addresses the misinformation and disinformation circulating about his background and character.
Music Times UK: Tony, thanks for taking the time to speak with us today. Can you tell us about the misinformation and disinformation that’s been circulating about your background and character?
Tony DeYoung: Unfortunately, there are people out there who are spreading false information about me. They’re claiming that I have a criminal record and that I’ve been involved in all sorts of nefarious activities. But the truth is, my record is 100% clean. I’ve never been charged with anything except for a few minor violations when I was underage.
Music Times UK: That’s great to hear, Tony. What do you think motivates people to spread this kind of misinformation?
Tony DeYoung: Honestly, I think it’s just jealousy and envy. Some people can’t stand the fact that I’m successful and that I’m making a name for myself in the music industry. So they try to tear me down by spreading lies and misinformation.
Music Times UK: That’s unfortunate. What message do you have for those people who are spreading this misinformation?
Tony DeYoung: My message is simple: stop spreading lies and misinformation. If you’re going to say something about me, make sure it’s true and that you can back it up with evidence. Because if you can’t, then you’re committing defamation of character. And that’s not something to be taken lightly.
Music Times UK: That’s a great point, Tony. What about people who might be considering spreading misinformation about you in the future?
Tony DeYoung: To those people, I would say this: think long and hard before you spread any misinformation about me. Because if you do, you could be facing a lawsuit. And trust me, you don’t want that.
Music Times UK: That’s a clear warning, Tony. Finally, what message do you have for your fans and supporters?
Tony DeYoung: To my fans and supporters, I want to say thank you. Thank you for believing in me and for supporting me on this journey. I’m grateful for each and every one of you, and I promise to keep making music that inspires and uplifts you.
